Daytrana Patch
Why the Daytrana Patch?
Daytrana, the first and only patch for ADHD
* It's easy by design. Apply the patch to the hip area in the morning. It's discreet and designed to stay on. It is recommended that Daytrana be applied to the hip area 2 hours before an effect is needed and should be removed 9 hours after application.
* It works. In clinical testing, Daytrana provided significant improvement in ADHD symptoms, increasing attention in the classroom, performance on math tests, and interactions with peers and adults.
* It's flexible. It's recommended that the patch be worn for 9 hours, but its effects can continue for 3 hours more after it is removed. But at the doctor's direction, the patch may be removed sooner, so you can adjust your child's treatment to his/her specific needs. For example, your schedule may vary on weekends, vacations, etc. Pills don't offer this kind of flexibility.
Daytrana is indicated for the treatment of ADHD in children ages 6 to 12. Daytrana is indicated as an integral part of a total treatment program for ADHD that may include other measures (psychological, educational, social) for patients with this syndrome. Drug treatment may not be indicated for all children with this syndrome.
